We are truly blessed here in California! All of coastal California is double blessed with good sunshine and weather most of the year.
From San Diego to Mendocino County, the California coast is well known.
Songs, lyrics and poetry abound with what we have in coastal California.
We in Silicon Valley are so fortunate with good weather and lots of sunny days, and mild evenings.
In summer we play hard!
But how do the self-employed get into summer mode without sacrificing their business or the momentum they’ve created?
For people with products: Team up with someone who has a ‘store front’ and see if they are willing to rent a space for your products or your literature and reward them with commission or product (if it is something they want) for selling anything in your absence.
At a networking event, reserve a vendor table for the summer, 3 months minimum, and chance are that by Fall, people will remember you and your products.
If you are a ‘service’ business you have an intangible and it takes both creativity and unique marketing to be remembered.
Create specials like “Buy ____ and get one free”
“Pay ___ and get a discount of ____”
Make it a compelling offer – something they would be crazy not to buy.
Maybe team up with another service provider and ‘power partner’ with them during the summer.
Summer is a time to think ‘outside the box’, so that you too can enjoy some summer fun.
