332.83 crore highest turnover ever by Ministry of Education EdCIL

EdCIL, a consulting unit of the Ministry of Education, paid a dividend of Rs 11.5 crore for the year 2020-2021, making it the highest turnover of Rs 332.83 crore.

EdCIL Limited, a public sector company, under the Ministry of Education, paid an annual profit of Rs 11.5 Crore for the year 2020-21. EdCIL offers management and consultancy services in all areas of education and human resource development both in India and abroad.

The company recorded revenue of Rs. 332.83 Crore (highest revenue ever) and profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 36.89 Crore in the year 2020-21 .

Dr. Subhas Sarkar, Minister of State for Education, Government of India, received the check from Manoj Kumar, CMD EdCIL, in the presence of Rakesh Ranjan, Additional Secretary (TE), Pandey Pradeep Kumar, Assistant Secretary ( TC) and other senior Ministry and EdCIL officials on January 27, 2022.

Will EdCIL Limited’s profit generation create jobs in India?

The minister commended EdCIL for its status as a continued for-profit and dividend-paying organization, which has continued even during the pandemic.

He also appreciated EdCIL for being a pioneering organization in the country for consultancy, consultancy, digital and education services abroad.

He also said that EdCIL’s skills development services vertical will lead to the improvement of youth skills and act as a positive catalyst in terms of job creation. The Minister further wished EdCIL to reach new heights.
