OWith plans to recruit 1,000 new healthcare professionals in 2022, Alcedo Care has appointed John Townley as Group Head of Recruitment Operations.

Originally from Blackpool but now living in Little Eccleston in Lancashire, John joins Alcedo Care from CRG Homecare, where he worked for nine years as Director of Resourcing and Engagement.

In his new role at Alcedo Care, John is responsible for managing recruitment activity and leading the team of hiring managers. He hopes to develop, expand and further train the group’s existing team of recruiters, building good relationships across the business.

As a ‘careers in care’ champion, John also aims to highlight the wide range of roles available at Alcedo Care over the coming year, with the company recruiting people with and without healthcare experience. care.

Away from work, John and his husband Stephen have over the past 15 years renovated a number of properties and are now finally settled in a 300 year old cottage. They also enjoy travelling, taking city breaks to London to see the latest musicals, gardening and tending to their chickens. John also loves music, both playing instruments and writing songs. He is a qualified practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming and is studying towards his Master Practitioner Certificate. He also started writing a self-help book.
