Emirates News Agency – Etisalat welcomes Emirati graduates to its ‘AI Graduate Program’

DUBAI, October 27, 2021 (WAM) – Etisalat recently welcomed its first cohort of Emirati graduates into Etisalat’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) graduate program. These graduates will embark on a nine-month course with subject matter experts from Etisalat supported by online digital learning platforms and specialist courses in these fields.

The AI program will span two cohorts in 2021: the current cohort in October and the next in December. It is supported by on-the-job learning, business-critical projects, and real-life cases to provide the next generation of leaders with authentic learning experiences that will pave their career path to success.

The program is designed to combine powerful skills and in-depth technical certification in partnership with a specialized digital learning transformation platform. It will provide them with an unparalleled opportunity to gain work experience in multiple disciplines such as cybersecurity, data science, neurolinguistic programming, machine learning, deep learning and AI.

Each graduate will receive a personal development plan as well as regular mentoring, coaching and feedback.

Candidates who joined this cohort were selected in an intense two-week “HackAI” hackathon, in which they competed against each other to generate creative solutions to a series of technological challenges. This one-of-a-kind hackathon tested participants’ skills across eight hypothetical challenges in AI, computer security, data analysis, Python, machine learning, and programming.

Etisalat will continue to broadcast its “Hack AI” series as an innovative way to recruit top talent and tech graduates.

During the orientation day, Dena Al Mansoori, Human Resources Director of the Etisalat Group, said: “As an incubation center for emerging talents in technology and other sectors, Etisalat is shaping the next generation of leaders as part of our ongoing efforts to invest in our young people and support their career development. We are delighted to welcome promising young Emiratis like you who are looking for a challenge and building a better future by helping us drive the digital future.

Alia Nasser, 24, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Systems, said: “I am honored and thrilled to join Etisalat and give back to my country. I see myself at Etisalat, a market leader, for a long time and look forward to contributing and making a positive impact. ”
