Goodera announces inclusive and equitable initiatives for its employees

Menstrual leave and mental health counseling are at the top of Goodera’s list of initiatives for new employees in 2022.

Goodera, the world’s largest virtual volunteering company, announced new employee wellness initiatives at its first general meeting of the year.

The company introduced menstrual leave to help menstruating women deal with their discomfort using paid leave per month. Goodera is now part of an exclusive list of companies implementing a periodic leave policy in India, including Byju’s, Zomato and Swiggy, among others.

The initiative aims to increase inclusiveness and equity in the workplace, which Goodera actively seeks to promote within its organization.

Deepti Gupta, Chief of Staff for the Office of the CEO, said: “Implementing initiatives like periodic leave is a way to show that we are moving in the right direction as an organization. We understand the levels of discomfort menstruating people go through in silence. By offering them periodic leaves, we hope that they can manage the discomfort calmly and return to work once they feel 100% well. Additionally, we hope this series of changes will continue to highlight Goodera as a company that promotes inclusivity in the workplace.

Additionally, the company also announced free mental health counseling sessions, partnering with Roundglass. Goodera employees can now access resources including one-on-one sessions with mental health experts, mindfulness exercises, access to health and fitness trackers, and participate in other wellness workshops. be offered by the platform.

Roundglass is a foundation that provides solutions covering everything from meditation resources to end-of-life tools, nutrition education, workplace wellness, and healthcare management. Additionally, they will work closely with Goodera to provide expert advice and mental health guidance that employees of all stripes can tap into at any time.
