Here’s everything you need to know about the opening of a new health and wellness center in Falkirk

Led by Mary-Jane Armstrong, Well Now will offer a variety of therapeutic approaches to support clients with mental health issues in the East Bridge Street Centre.

It will offer a variety of health and wellness activities including holistic therapies, workshops, classes, training courses, but perhaps most important of all, a place where people can connect with the others.

Mary-Jane said: “Having been trained in most aspects of mental health, as a clinical hypnotherapist, holistic therapist, mindfulness teacher, wellness coach and mental health ambassador, I think I have proven to improve people’s physical and emotional health and improve their quality of life.

Encouraging people to explore what’s on offer, she added: “Not everyone goes to the doctor or asks for help. Sometimes asking for help is the hardest thing to do. If there is such an establishment just off the High Street, promoting wellbeing, it could be the first step to talking, connecting and getting help for their mental health.

“I want to provide a space where people can come in if they’re struggling, raise awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma, help people improve their wellbeing, and have positive conversations.”

This Saturday, April 9, there will be an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., then again on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Mary-Jane invites people to come and chat, discuss any issues, find out what’s on offer.

She said: “If one of our offerings suits you, we can sign you up for a class, workshop, course, therapy or refer you to the right organization – or just join us for a cup of tea and a talk, doors open, kettles on.

“We will also be hosting a men’s mental health group on Mondays starting at 7 p.m. where we will have various speakers offering peer support. There will be yoga classes, an eight-week mindfulness course, clinical hypnotherapy and various other therapies, meditation courses and small upcoming events.
