Shoe retailer Hibbett announced its donation in partnership with Puma to Children’s of Alabama, consisting of $ 20,000, 4,350 pieces of Puma shoes and clothing and 10,560 sets of pencils.
Children’s of Alabama provides specialized medical care to sick and injured children, and provides care throughout Alabama. It is ranked among the nation’s top children’s hospitals by US News and World Report.
Donations will benefit Care Closet in Social Services, Child Life’s Sugar Plum Shop, and Children’s Hospital Intervention and Prevention Services (CHIPS Center), all of which focus on helping patients and patients. their families.
The Care Closet regularly needs clothing, but often cannot afford it, with the team helping more than 400 families in need each year.

The Sugar Plum store helps an average of 260 patient families with gifts during the holiday season to ease the burden of being in the hospital. The CHIPS Center aims to offer counseling sessions to families and children in need each year.
