I am a pro dominatrix but I became a life coach when confinement forced me to close my dungeon

A TOP dominatrix doubled down on her dungeon job with an office role as a motivational master.

Andrea Keaney, known in the adult industry as Megara Fury, has revealed that she uses the relationship skills learned through her racy role to inspire a new kind of clientele as a life coach.

The 37-year-old, who has worked in BDSM for 12 years, has already shared her weirdest requests, including putting flowers on a client’s back and being asked to force-feed a client a living praying mantis.

But despite serious stigma surrounding such work, the geology graduate believes her unique CV makes her the perfect fit for people trying to change their lives.

Andrea, from Bishopbriggs, told the Scottish Sun: “I had done hypnotherapy and neurolinguistic programming (NLP) before, then I stumbled upon coaching and it was just by accident.

“And when I started to learn the coaching process and especially transformational coaching, I realized that it really fits a lot of the things that I was already doing.

“For example, one of the barriers to people’s ability to express themselves is limiting beliefs and it shows up everywhere – and it shows up in the sessions as a dominatrix.

“People are too shy to say what they want, too afraid to speak up and be vulnerable because they have all these beliefs about themselves, what I’m going to think of them and what it means to them.

“And what I realized is that it doesn’t just happen in the dungeon, it happens everywhere.

“One of the things I really love about being a dominatrix is ​​being able to help people be their true selves in that setting and now I can do that for people in all settings of their lives, which is really cool.

“I can do whatever I used to do in the dungeon – well not all – but I can do the mindset work I did in the dungeon and now I have a lot more clarity and focus and that is a lot more intentional the way i do it.

Andrea, who qualified in NLP in 2019, started working as a dominatrix in 2008 and admits people were surprised by her sudden career change when she started her second job last year and started her business. Dominant Mindset Coaching.

But she insists that the job she’s famous for isn’t as shabby as people think and is, in fact, the perfect platform for her new profession and new passion.

She says, “To the untrained eye you would look at it and you say” oh, that is lousy, these are just people who come in and get spanked and kicked. “

“But in fact, there’s a lot more to it, a lot of discussion that takes place before, during and after a session.

“People book sessions because maybe they want the physical or the mental side, but really the main thing they get out of it – and if you’re a good domineering you will know it – they are looking for validation, a safe space where they can just let their guard down and be fully themselves.

“Being able to do that is what gives them a spring in their approach when they leave.

“And being able to give them that is the rewarding part for me.”
