A hypnotherapist in Carlton wants to help a nurse or other NHS frontline worker keep her job by helping her overcome her fear of inoculations.

Sam Culshaw-Robinson, who leads the Live Well practice, has helped dozens of people overcome their worries using proven hypnotherapy techniques.

Recent government rules have confirmed that frontline NHS workers must be vaccinated against Covid by April 1 next year or risk being made redundant.

In England there are currently 103,000 unvaccinated NHS workers who work directly with patients.

Sam, who offers face-to-face or online sessions, said she wanted to help him use his hypnotherapy skills.

She said: ‘Some NHS workers will be afraid of needles and injections involving their own skin. It’s surprisingly common. I can offer support and would like to give an NHS frontline worker the chance to experience hypnotherapy for free.

“I would love to help someone from my area in Carlton or Gedling.”

“They could be doctors, dentists, midwives, nurses, paramedics, paramedics, physiotherapists or x-rays. Anyone in direct contact with patients.

“A lot of hypnosis experiences are theater performances where people are encouraged to take the stage and do something outrageous like bark like dogs.

“It’s very different. Hypnosis during hypnotherapy is gentle and changes the frequency of a person’s brain waves. This can help reframe any situation that causes fear in the first place. We develop the right tools for the client to use before and during a medical appointment.

“The subconscious is incredible and guides us more than we realize. I help and support my clients by teaching them to listen to their subconscious.

Sam offers two free sessions and proof of work in an NHS frontline role is required. It particularly welcomes people who would be ready to share their experience afterwards.

She said: “There must be some people living with this fear who are now afraid of losing their jobs. I can help.”

Sam runs his practice in Carlton and helps people lose weight, quit smoking, and successfully manage chronic pain and phobias.
