Justice Department moves legal services to Microsoft Cloud

The Ministry of Justice has completed the cloud transformation procedures as part of its digital plan as part of the strategic partnership that Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), and signed with Microsoft ago one year, to establish Microsoft Cloud regions of the state, to be an approved national platform for cloud computing services for Qatar and the world.
In this regard, the Ministry has completed the procedures for transferring data from the Qatar Legal Portal (Al-Meezan), which is the most comprehensive official legal website for Qatari law from 1963 until now, to the environment. Microsoft Cloud computing, while the rest of the services are moved to the Microsoft cloud using the latest digital technologies, making them available on the Azure Marketplace platform and allowing users to access portal services from n ‘ anywhere in the world.
On this occasion, the director of the information systems department at the Ministry of Justice Khalid Mohamed Ibrahim indicated that the cloud transformation plan was under the leadership of HE the Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohamed al-Ameri, to accelerate its procedures in accordance with the requirements. of the Qatar Digital Government program and the Qatar National Vision 2030 goals, which aims to maximize the return of knowledge and technology to the country’s economy and community development.
He added that the shift of the ministry’s services to cloud computing will allow it to securely and quickly expand its digital services, facilitate the mechanism for accessing them and reduce costs, while ensuring that legal systems and regulatory are approved in the provision of services and meet the requirements of compliance systems that improve the classification of the department in global indicators.
