Lifestyle coach, Olusola wins two honorary doctorates | The Guardian Nigeria News

Africa’s leading life coach and behavior change psychologist, Lanre Olusola (aka The Catalyst), was awarded two honorary doctorates in behavior change this weekend from Escae University Benin and Myles University Leadership in recognition of his excellent performance in the service of humanity.

Presented with the awards in Lagos, Olusola first won an Honorary Doctorate in Behavior Change from Escae University Benin with a double celebration before being surprised by a Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa from Myles Leadership University.

Also, business coach and strategist, Lukman Akanbi (aka The Switch), received an honorary degree in philosophy.

Escae University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Theodore Mehobah (represented by the institution’s Registrar, Dr. Mathew Mario) said the doctorate was due to Olusola’s immense contributions to the human capital industry and capacity development.

He said, “He revolutionized the coaching industry in Africa with the Olusola Lanre Coaching Academy (OLCA), having spent over two decades building great businesses and leaders in different sectors of the economy in the world. He is a pioneer who revolutionized the coaching industry in Africa.

OLCA’s Chief Catalyst, Lanre Olusola, has 20 years of coaching experience with extensive studies in psychology, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), quality improvement management performance, human cognitive-behavioral psychology, meta-medicine, emotional freedom techniques (EFT), Matrix Reimprinting and more.

Olusola is also an Executive Director at EbonyLife Media and a board member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Nigeria.

He is the creator of the 5-star performance models ESP and VSP, which have been used around the world, one of the many beneficiaries being Stanford University’s affiliated faculty, the Institute for Venture Design. He is the founder of the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN) and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants.

Olusola appreciated Escae University Benin and Myles Leadership University for the double honor. Talking about his journey on life and impact, he described it as a secret of transcendence, helping people realize their dreams, achieve their goals and aspirations, which is the highest need of the humanity.

He said: “The most successful businesses and entrepreneurs are those who have identified problems, needs, pains that they solve. This is the concept of impact; wake up every day and add value to humanity. It is your identity. Impact is what will give you fulfillment and satisfaction and help you build wealth, a good reputation, credibility, a great brand and a phenomenal reputation. This is what we should live for.

“I was called and commissioned into life coaching. I was running 14 business expressions about 20 years ago. I was in a room praying and God said to me, ‘this is the reason for I created you. I need you to go out there and change lives and minds. I didn’t try. I didn’t think about it. I didn’t know what that meant. about 20 years ago. There was nothing like the coaching industry. So, I just obeyed. The rest is history.

Speaking on his vision for Nigeria, he said Nigeria is seen as the hub of positivity and the hub of impact across the globe, where the country sits alongside big countries like the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Dubai.

He said: “As Africans, we have always been at the epicenter of civilization, impact and engineering, architecture, astronomy, astrology, medicine, science, and we have to find our epicenter. We must return to who we were and who we are. And it is Nigeria that I see. Nigerians have a great heritage there and they also have a negative heritage there. I see a country where our great heritage is what the world hears about, and they want to come to Nigeria to find out the place that produces these people.
