Ballyfermot College of Further Education (BCFE) offers fantastic courses that either lead directly to employment or form the basis for further study and creative development at BCFE or other further or higher education institutions.
BCFE is a creative, innovative and student-centered college. All courses are open to Leaving Certificate students and older applicants.
From Animation, Media, Film, Art and Music to Social Care, Business, Travel and Tourism, BCFE offers a wide range of top-notch, two-year, Level 5 and 6.
Additionally, BCFE offers three complementary degree programs in media production, animation, and computer games.

“Class sizes are small and students are supported throughout their educational journey at BCFE with specific guidance, learning, pastoral care and ICT materials. BCFE graduates are highly sought after by employers both nationally and internationally. Students attending BCFE can only take courses from Level 4 to Level 8, all of which are fully quality assured and recognized within the National Qualifications Framework.
This year, BCFE will offer a choice of one of four internship programs that are open to all students, even those who have just completed their leaving certificate or those looking to upgrade and retrain.
These internship programs, containing 14 weeks of internship, are specifically created with the needs of employers in mind and are geared towards obtaining employment. BCFE seeks the internship and interns are supported during this period so that they succeed and impress BCFE’s sponsoring employers.
BCFE offers the following internships:
l Accounting/Payroll Pathway Level 6 in collaboration with ACCA
l Creative Media for Production (Visual Effects/Animation/Video Production) Level 5
l Irish Traditional Music Performance, Instrument making, repair and maintenance Diploma (HND) Level 6 higher
l Logistics and Distribution Level 6
