* To make a permanent change in our lives, we must embody a new system of behavior and beliefs.

New behaviors are introduced into the mind by changing our perspective and establishing hope that our current undesirable situation can improve.

Reinforcing this idea in the subconscious through repetition – repeating an action consistently for a period of time or in perpetuity – is what creates the new healthy automatic behavior.

In hypnotherapy, repetition is one of the 5 dominant laws of suggestion, which is the way we absorb information and learn about the world around us.

Repetition plays a big role in conditioning the subconscious. It is like conditioning the body to a new shape by exercising.

Of course, it would be ideal if we could go to the gym once and go out with the “banging” body we desire. However, this is not how it works.

You need to stay consistent with your routine for at least 21 to 90 days. During this time, not only will you see results, but you will start to embody new behaviors or become the new body.

Repetitively feeding the subconscious mind’s suggestions that it is now operating under a new belief helps form a new unconscious habit.

Once the subconscious mind believes in the new idea, the physical world around us will begin to transform into a reality that matches our mind’s vision and vibrations.

At first, our natural tendency to stay the same will intensify and attempt to fight for its position of authority over our behavior and thinking.

This triggers barriers of resistance that act as guards against the change that moves us into the unknown.

Our natural defenses are to protect us from the unknown since it is about leaving our comfort zone where we feel safe.

Hypnotic Tip: If you encounter resistance or fear around something, close your eyes and imagine doing that thing, whether it’s swimming, flying on a plane, or speaking in front of a large audience.

Now feel that there is a force field around you that is impenetrable and repeat to yourself 6 to 9 times, “I am calm. I am safe. My mind is clear and I’m sure of it!

Remember that repetition and consistency are essential!
