Church calendar announcements can be submitted to the Herald by mail, ATTENTION:

CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENT CALENDAR, by phone (764-9031) or hand delivered to the office. Because the length of our church calendar is determined by the amount of space available, not all submitted items will appear. Your article can start at the bottom, but will move upward as the event date approaches. Church calendar items are printed free of charge. Sometimes we may not be able to publish your ad as specified. If your ad is to be printed on specific days or written in a specific way, it should serve as a paid advertisement.

Items submitted for current events will last two weeks and may be resubmitted every three months.

Sunday

ONLINE SERVICE for Statesboro New Covenant Church will run Sunday at 10 a.m. through the church’s web page at sncconline.com.

COMMUNITY SUNDAY will be Sunday at Saint Mary’s Baptist Missionary Church, Mallard Pond Road, starting at 10:00 a.m. with Sunday School followed by regular worship service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Howard of Historical First African Baptist Church as guest speaker. The service can also be viewed through the church’s YouTube channel.

The HYBRID SERVICE (in person and online) for the Unitarian Universalist community of Statesboro will take place Sunday at 10:30 am with Clint Tawes as a guest speaker. Events to come

SPECIAL ADVENT Bible Study will be held December 8 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Highway 67 South (Fair Road) starting at 1:00 p.m.

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT Christmas card making and decorating will take place on December 8, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Saint Mary’s Baptist Missionary Church, Mallard Pond Road. For children from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

GOD TALKS, a non-denominational ministry, will meet on December 11 at 10 a.m. in the Multipurpose Hall of Statesboro New Covenant Church, Gentilly Road. Steve Hammond will give his personal testimony in “Speaking God’s Truth”. Use the side entrance.

The ANNUAL NOLS program will be held December 12 at Little Bethel Baptist Missionary Church, Railroad Street, Brooklet, starting at 10 a.m. Social distancing will be practiced. For more information, call Ms. Clark at (912) 764-6140.

Current events

BIBLE STUDY takes place Wednesdays at Saint Mary’s Baptist Missionary Church, Mallard Pond Road, starting at 6:30 pm Please note the new time.

IN-PERSON services for the original first African Baptist Church, Westside Road, will take place every second and fourth Sunday starting at 10:30 a.m. and can be viewed through the church’s Facebook page. First and Third Sunday services begin at 10:30 a.m. and can be viewed through the church’s Facebook page.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH will be held on Sunday, 11:15 a.m. to noon, at the Clito Baptist Church. For children ages 4 to 6. There will be Bible stories, songs and crafts.

BOYS LEAD Mentorship sessions are held every fourth Saturday at the City of David Worship Assembly on Institute Street, starting at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served. Transport insured. Social distancing will be practiced. For more information call Bro. Mitchell at (912) 486-3210.
