Continuing its efforts to reach unemployed youth and alleviate the growing unemployment rate, Srinagar District Employment and Counseling Center (DE&CC) organized a one-day government awareness program. Industrial training institute for women Bemina.
The program saw the participation of a large number of interns / unemployed youth.
Officers from various Govt. Line departments have been invited as resource persons to the event.
In his speech, Superintendent ITI informed the resource persons of the courses offered by the institute and the quality of the skills imparted to the trainees. Urging passers-by / interns to establish their self-employment income generating units, he thanked DE&CC Srinagar for organizing this program.
The Career Counselor, DE&CC Srinagar, in his PowerPoint presentation, spoke about the roles / functions of the employment department. It was made clear to the participants that Govt. Jobs cannot be provided to all unemployed youth.
However, the government. is committed to providing support to eligible / willing youth for the establishment of income generating units in viable sectors according to the interests, aptitudes of applicants and local conditions.
It was pointed out that ITI trainees need to improve their skills so that they can offer their services independently, like repairing electronic gadgets, LMVs, etc.
Live demo session regarding NOC registration / search / notifications / vacancies etc. at J&K Govt. The job portal (www.jakemp.nic.in) and the services offered by the National Career Services Portal (www.ncs.gov.in) were also conducted and applicants were invited to register on both portals in order to use the facilities. regarding counseling, training, placement and career development.
Resource persons from the Livestock Department, the District Industry Center, the Fisheries Department and the Sheep Breeding Department informed the participants about the programs offered by their departments such as IDDS, IPDP, KCC, MIDH, ISDS , National Livestock Mission, Disease Control Program, ATMA, RIDF, TSP, Mini Ferme Ovin, RKVY (Eve-Mouton units in participatory mode), PMEGP and PMMSY.
The Employment Officer, DE&CC Srinagar, briefed the public on Mission Youth initiatives such as Tejaswini, Mumkin, SAHTYA and Youth in Distress, etc. units under different regimes.
