Stress ? City-Based Nonprofit Offerings April 22 Presentation

Since the start of the pandemic, many have experienced unprecedented high levels of stress. Many of us have developed unhealthy and unnecessary ways of coping.

To help better manage stress, the Arlington-based Professional Development Collaboration announces that Kathryn McGlynn will lead a webinar sharing several easy-to-learn stress management tools. “Stress Resilience for Troubled Times” is slated for Friday, April 22, from 1-2 p.m. on Zoom.

The cost is $25. Register here >>

This course aims to help you meet the challenge of managing the mental and physiological response to psychological stressors that negatively affect the functioning of the immune system. McGlynn shares simple techniques that engage the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps us create a state of inner calm. The goal is to help shift attention from feeling panicked and helpless to feeling centered and resourceful.

McGlynn is a certified hypnotist who has been in private practice since 1996. She uses programming and neurolinguistic skills as an emotional intelligence development trainer. She has a private practice in Quincy.
