Locals register at Biola
Biola University was delighted to welcome new students Naomi Halperin, of Hollister, and Aidan Tomasini, of Aromas, to the Biola community as they begin their journey as an Eagle this fall, a press release says. of the University.
Biola’s incoming class represented a diverse and accomplished group of individuals from 41 U.S. states and territories and 44 countries around the world, the press release said. A total of 842 undergraduate and graduate students began their college journey at Biola University on the first day of classes on August 30 and completed their first semester on Friday December 17.
Agency on Aging requests proposals
The Santa Cruz and San Benito County Council of Elders / Regional Aging Agency is accepting Letters of Intent for its 2022-25 Request for Proposals process. Funding is available for a variety of programs, including the Seniors Nutrition Program, Support Services, Caregiver Support Program, Ombudsman and Elder Abuse Prevention, and Elder Abuse Prevention Program. Bankruptcy lawyer offering free consultations
Bankruptcy attorney Ralph Guenther, director of Guenther Miller Law Group, will initiate “walk-in Wednesdays” starting Jan. 12 at Hollister.
Local residents can take advantage of a free bankruptcy consultation to discuss their financial situation and to obtain legal information regarding bankruptcy options.
These sessions are a resource for people facing foreclosures, repossessions, unpaid taxes, credit cards or medical debts.

No appointment is necessary, and the consultation is limited to 10 minutes.
