Auckland bars, religious services among places of interest

On Sunday, two bars and two churches were designated as close contact locations of interest.

Anyone who visited O’Hagan’s Irish Bar in Auckland’s CBD on Saturday January 30 between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. or Hoppers Garden Bar in Gray Lynn between 8 p.m. and 12 p.m. is asked to self-isolate and test immediately and on the fifth day after exposure. .

Meanwhile, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Papatoetoe and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Favona have also been named as close contact locations of interest.

Papatoetoe Church was visited by a Covid-19 positive case on Sunday January 30 between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., while Favona Church was visited on Wednesday February 2 between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Anyone who was on the wards at the same time as the positive cases is asked to self-isolate and test themselves immediately and on day 5 after exposure.

Visitors to the four sites, who were there at the same time as the positive cases, will receive further isolation and testing requirements from Public Health.

There were 208 recorded cases of Covid-19 in the community on Sunday.
