Dr Maiysha Clairborne’s mission is to improve the diversity and inclusion of businesses

ATLANTA, December 10, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Throughout history, racism has woven into the fabric of society, intentionally or not. America cannot be united if its citizens are obsessed with an individual’s skin color and the stereotypes that match it. Racism and racial prejudice are more prevalent than ever, which is why it is important to be active in supporting organizations truly committed to creating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DCI).

Dr. Maiysha Clairborne, integrative family physician, master hypnotherapist and trainer in neurolinguistic programming (NLP), is a woman of color and medical leader who has taken a stand against racism in her conscious and unconscious state. Dr. Clairborne is a strong believer in the power of words, as they can alter people’s hearing and speech, transforming the way we think, feel and behave.

Dr. Clairborne uses his expertise in neurolinguistic programming to train C-Suite and DCI leaders in trauma-responsive listening, conscious speaking, and emotional intelligence to foster actionable and equitable environments for change. She is also the co-author of the Amazon bestseller “Conscious Anti-Racism: Tools for Self-Discovery, Accountability, and Meaningful Change Conscious Anti-Racism”. In this book, she and her co-author Dr. Jill wener address the symptoms of systemic racism and offer solutions that help individuals and organizations become stronger allies in this movement.

Dr Clairborne is also delighted to take the stage at TedxAsheville on February 27, 2022, contributing to the lively theme of the year (Building Bridges; Opening Doors: Ideas to Invite Connection and Momentum into the Future). In her talk on “Say Something New”, she will share the impact of words on reality, how it has led to our current system of inequalities, what we can all do to spur positive change for a better future.
