A former reality TV contestant, who rose to prominence on Matty J’s season of The Bachelor, has revealed she’s slept with more than 700 men while battling a sex addiction.
Former Bachelor contestant Belinda “Love” Rygier has opened up about her struggle with sex addiction, revealing that she slept with over 700 men before seeking help.
Rygier, who appeared on the franchise’s 2017 season with Matthew “Matty J” Johnson, told the Daily mail that she was “hurting and seeking validation” through her sexual partners over a 15-year period.
“The next day [after sleeping with someone] was the absolute worst. Not that I really experimented with the drug, but I would liken it to coming down from it,” Rygier said.
“A huge hit of dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin during the experience. The next day if they didn’t call like they promised, I would have a huge comedown. I would hit rock bottom, I would feel useless and worse than if I didn’t have the experience, it would send me into a spiral and then I would need another “hit”.
Rygier – who believes her addiction stemmed from a sexual assault when she was 18 – added that she avoided telling anyone that she had slept with “well over 700″ people because she felt that she would be judged and “never would”. Find love”.
“I still hate that question to this day because I feel like it’s filled with judgment from the wrong people,” she said.
The former reality star turned romance coach explained that she didn’t realize she was struggling with a sex addiction until she started doing some “inner work”.
“I realized it only a few years ago, but I never told anyone until recently. I knew I had, and still have, a high sex drive, but I don’t didn’t correlate it with sex addiction,” Rygier told the publication.
She also revealed that she cured her addiction through a range of resources, including self-help classes, neurolinguistic programming and meditation, and has now been single for 10 months.
