CAIRO – April 5, 2022: An electronic model for citizens to share their views on the medical services they receive in Ministry of Health facilities has been activated.

The electronic model also allows students from medical schools and workers from health directorates to post their ideas on how to improve the health system in Egypt, Health Ministry spokesman Hossam said on Tuesday. Abdel Ghaffar, in a press release.

This is part of a state strategy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt’s 2030 vision, Abdel Ghaffar noted.

The activation of this model reflects the Egyptian government’s willingness to invest in the ideas of young people with the aim of improving health services, he added.

This model should serve as an electronic platform to share ideas and suggestions from young people across Egypt, Abdel Ghaffar said.

The Deputy Minister of Health in charge of good governance, Dr Mohamed el Tayyeb, for his part, said that young people can post their ideas on the platform via this link: https://sites.google.com/view/health -innovation-initiative/mainpage.

All ideas will be probed to determine whether or not they could be implemented on the ground, Tayyeb noted.

He added that the owners of the ideas could very well participate in their implementation in real life under the supervision of the relevant bodies.

It is about using the innovative ideas of young people and involving them in modernizing the health system, Tayyeb said.
