The action is part of Egypt’s digital transformation and part of its initiative to facilitate the delivery of government services to citizens.

As part of this cooperation, parents of pupils of all Egyptian public schools, from the current school year, can pay their children’s school fees directly through an electronic platform on the Internet, which is the first of its kind in the education sector in Egypt.

Public tuition fees can be paid by debit or credit card.

The cooperation also includes the digital provision of expenditure payment via the Khales network of mass services for retail digital payments, which is part of the e-Finance company.

The recently launched online payment portal is a web-based solution designed to be easy to navigate and simple to use by students and their parents. It was first put into operation for the Thanaweya Amma Grade Appeals fee collection, when thousands of students successfully paid their fees online using their debit / credit cards in a smooth and error-free process. . Currently, the portal is licensed and functioning, receiving tuition fees for the first trimester of the school year from 27 Egyptian governorates.

The online payment portal is also helping to reduce the overcrowding that occurs as students and parents wait to pay tuition in person, especially amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“E-Finance has taken on several essential tasks to implement the digital transformation strategy in Egypt, and today it leverages its extensive experience in introducing Egyptian public schools as part of advanced electronic and digital services, which has become one of the most important characteristics of government agencies in the new republic, ”said Ibrahim Sarhan, CEO of the e-finance group for financial and digital investments.
