Although Motorhead was buried when frontman Lemmy Kilmister passed away in late 2015, the band’s name has remained incredibly strong and active in the years since. The latest addition to the legacy comes from a new licensed graphic novel from Fantoons, Motorhead: The Rise of the Loudest Band in the World.

The 144-page fully illustrated graphic novel features a preface by Judas frontman Priest Rob Halford and takes readers on a journey to Lemmy’s childhood through the recording and release of the classic Ace of Spades album.

“David and the Fantoons team captured the spirit and vibe of Lem perfectly, not to mention the overall spirit of the band. Their attention to detail was first-rate, the art first-class and the proof is in the final piece, which is splendid! Readers are sure to feel the raw grain that was Motörhead’s origin in every page, ”the Motorhead team said via a press release.

Motorhead: The Rise of the Loudest Band in the World releases on September 7th and fans can pre-order their copy now ($ 29.99) at this location.

Check out the graphic novel cover and sample pages below, as well as Motorhead’s “Overkrisp” cereal box that is included with pre-orders while supplies last.
